18. – 30. 8. 25
Summer Academy, Festung Hohensalzburg

“A programme about navigating complexity through practice not theory alone. We worked with iterative formats, collective decision-making, and real-time feedback loops to understand what it means to act responsible under changing conditions”.

When I curate, I design. This means that I orchestrate, plan or coordinate all elements in space to produce the desired scenery. Space has many meanings: we do not merely occupy space but rehearse how it functions. We also don’t simply accept what we know about space but inhabit it through fantasies.
The workshop is intuitive but guided. Together and in individual sessions, we’ll walk a wild line between artistic, spatial and curatorial practices. Throughout the process of designing, practicing, performing and reviewing, the group will aim to generate collective consciousness and confidence by ultimately producing a temporary environment that can be an exhibition, situation or an event visitors can participate in.
This environment is relational, based on our human and social contexts and otherworldly ideas, from soft utopia and collective adventure to wild relaxation and pure reverie. To me, an exhibition is not the end but the beginning of something that can be individually or collectively explored.
